About Sugar Bowl Ski Resort

Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for Race Crew Team Members to assist with races, events, and competition training; and runs the race arena for the resort. This includes all aspects of event management and the logistics required to carry on these operations. The department cooperates with all other departments at Sugar Bowl and assists when and wherever possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:           

    • Must be able to work outside on SKIS
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must possess advanced skiing ability, capable of skiing most of the terrain at Sugar Bowl comfortably
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs on skis safely
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, holidays, some mid-week
  • Ability to work in a sometimes high stress, fast paced environment
  • Must consider courtesy and safety high priorities
  • Be willing and able to provide excellent customer service to all people at all times (SUGAR)
  • Ski racing background a plus, but not a requirement

 DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 

  • Placement/removal of fencing, closures and other safety equipment
  • Set up / Removal of timing systems
  • Set up / Removal of race course and/or event equipment (ie: gates, bamboo, fencing, banners and any other materials needed)
  • Watering down race courses and the use of chemicals to enhance race course conditions
  • Assist with the operations of the Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation when directed
  • Assist the personnel of the Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation when directed
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by race department managers or supervisors

 

Pay $20.54/hour – $24.14/hour dependent on experience.
