Pay

$21.80 (home visitor) – $22.37 (family assessment worker) per hour,

Full-time M-F, 9:00-5:00 shift, Every other Friday off.

Home Visitor and Home Visitor/Family Assessment Worker (one combined position in Truckee)

Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a full-time Home Visitor/Family Assessment Worker for the Healthy Babies (HB) Home Visiting Program in the Truckee office. Home Visitors receive extensive training to offer assessments to parents for bonding with their baby, pre/post-natal depression, growth development, parenting curriculum, resources, and support to families.

Duties: Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Home Visitor conducts outreach and home visits with assigned families in the Nevada County community. The Home Visitor will help families identify strengths, develop a strong parent/child bond, connect with resources, and set and meet goals. This position will also provide initial assessments to interested families.

Bilingual speaker, fluent in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required. $1,000 Bonus for bilingual in Spanish after completion of probation.

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related Social Service field from an accredited college or university. Experience working directly with clients in a community-based service organization is preferred.

Familiarity with Microsoft Suite software.
