About Inn Shop Ski and Board Rentals of Palisades Tahoe

$17-$18 per hour starting wage in a fast paced ski/board rental shop at the base of Palisades Tahoe.  Techs are responsible for boot fitting, ski and board adjustments, and carefully inspecting returns. Up to a 2 hour mid day ski/board mountain breaks so you can still get on the mountain during lunch time.  Palisades Tahoe seasonal ski pass benefits available. Full time employees (minimum of 3 work days per week)  will receive up to a $2 bonus at the end of the season for every hour you worked!  Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required.

You have the opportunity to work at the base of Squaw Valley and go skiing/riding after rentals are out. Best job in Squaw Valley. Squaw/Alpine pass benefits are available, as well as a wonderful team of people to work alongside. Being team oriented and customer service focused is important when serving people who want their skis/boards fitted quickly to get out on the slopes.

The position is open to dependable, trustworthy people to work in a customer facing role.
– Daily tasks include technical fitting of skis and snowboards, maintenance of skis and snowboards, and smiling at frequent intervals to please customers.
– Previous Rental/Demo Tech experience with skis & snowboards preferred but not required (training provided).

  1. FULL TIME SEASONAL EMPLOYEES:  Inn Shop will purchase Employee Squaw Valley Ski pass ($459). Employee must be available to work a minimum of 5 days per week from date of hire to the last day that Inn Shop will be open for the winter season.
  1. Must be available to work up to 10 hours per day and up to 48 hours per week (excluding ski time) without overtime pay.
  2. Must be available to work to the end of the ski/board season. The end of the ski/board season is when the ski lifts at Squaw Valley close for the   winter season or when management authorizes you to leave.
  3. Any employee, who is terminated, laid off, or quits before the Inn Shop closes for the season must pay the pass in full to Inn Shop Rentals, LLC.   Employee must return ski pass their last day of work and if not returned on that day employee agrees to pay an additional $150 per day until returned.  Ski passes are property of Inn Shop Rentals, LLC.    It is at management’s discretion on whether employee must pay back the season pass cost of $457or a portion of the full cost. 
  1. PART TIME EMPLOYEES:  Employee is to purchase Employee Squaw Valley Ski pass. Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week from the time of hire to the last day that Squaw Valley is open for the winter season.
  1. Must be available to work to the end of the ski/board season. The end of the ski/board season is when the ski lifts at Squaw Valley close for the   winter season or management authorizes you to leave.
  2. With the last paycheck for the season, employee will be reimbursed for one half (1/2) the early season price provided a receipt for payment is submitted.

 

Additional Inn Shop Policies:

 

  1. Employees may not park in the ski corp. parking lot during any work shift. Employee’s car may be towed at the employee’s cost.
  2. Employee may not park in PlumpJack’s parking lot when you are not scheduled to work, and you are skiing/boarding. No Exceptions!
  3. Inn Shop logo wear that is issued to employee is to be returned clean and in similar condition as when issued if #1c above applies.  Clothing not returned will be charged at full retail value and will be deducted from last paycheck.  
  4. Any employee hired after February 1st will not be reimbursed for Season Pass.   
  5. Clothing is to be clean, presentable, and without rips or tears. 
  6. Inn Shop employees are expected to conduct themselves in a mature, responsible, professional, and considerate manner at all times.
  7. I understand Inn Shop Rentals, LLC is an “at-will” employer.  It is understood and agreed by Inn Shop Rentals, LLC and the undersigned employee, that employee’s employment is for no definite period and that Inn Shop Rentals, LLC reserves the right to discharge an employee at any time for any reason whatsoever, with or without good cause. It is further understood that the undersigned employee may terminate his or her employment with Inn Shop Rentals, LLC at any time.
  8. As an Inn Shop Rentals, LLC employee, you are hired under an eighty hour   probationary period, during which you must demonstrate the ability, attitude, and work ethic required for continued employment.
