Interested in advancing your career in the public service library? Consider working as a Library Assistant III for the Nevada County. Individuals will provide lead supervision to assigned staff members and/or volunteers and serve as the primary resource person regarding the area’s operational processes and procedures. In addition to the expertise and skills of Library Assistant I and II, individuals will schedule, coordinate, and supervise the work of others in an effective and positive manner. A Library Assistant III is an integral part of in the field of library whose mission is to focus community attention on the value of the public library system. This position is crafted for individuals who have graduated from high school and at least 3 years of proven experience as a Library Assistant I or 2 years of progressively responsible experience as a Library Assistant II in Nevada County. If you have an Associate of Arts/Science degree in Library Science, that’s a huge plus!
Compensation:
This position will have an additional 10% Truckee differential pay and could be eligible for the rural health subsidies. Upon Spanish test completion and passing score there is an additional 5% bilingual pay.
Position includes salary adjustments based on merit within the classification of employment. On each salary anniversary date, until an employee reaches the maximum salary step for the employee’s salary range, salary and shall be advanced to the next higher step of the employee’s salary range unless the employee’s service is not satisfactory.
