KEY ATTRIBUTES & AREAS OF FOCUS

STRATEGY & FUTURE PLANNING:

  • Act as thought leader in collaboration with Club ownership to develop long-range strategic growth and capital investment plans, and set annual operating goals, plans, and budgets.
  • Provide Club ownership with updates on financial, Crew-related matters, and Membership insights through open and ongoing communication.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to increase revenue, expand membership, develop new business ventures, and implement cost-saving measures.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP:

  • Develop and nurture a collaborative and efficient team environment that instills a sense of ownership, camaraderie, and pride among all TMC Crew Members.
  • Direct oversight responsibility for all Club’s operations, currently including Member Services, Member Engagement, Food & Beverage, Golf, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Establish and cultivate a sense of knowledge and pride amongst the Crew, ensuring Crew buy-in and support of the Club’s strategy, vision, and annual operating goals.
  • Be accessible, approachable, and lead by example for others while investing in the mentoring and development of the Crew.

SERVICE MINDSET:

  • Develop and maintain a culture of service excellence across all aspects of Club operations.
  • Ensure all departments establish and execute a top-notch service standard ensuring uniformity, service excellence, and fostering Member trust and loyalty.
  • Engage regularly with Members to enhance their satisfaction and strengthen their connection to TMC, as well as with the community at large.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:

  • Deliver financial performance that equals or exceeds the annual operating plan for total revenue and net operating income.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations, including permits, licenses, fees, taxes, and assessments at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Guarantee that Club buildings, FF&E, and other assets are well-maintained with systemic plans for timely responses to any necessary repairs or preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement changes in policies and procedures when necessary to support the objectives of the operation, ownership, and management.
  • Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses of each department ensuring adherence to budgetary commitments and working with finance for the creation, execution, and monitoring of the annual operating budget for each department.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management or hospitality management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management experience is required, preferably in club/hospitality/service industry.
  • Proven ability in managing P&Ls and developing and managing budgets to deliver profitable and annual growth.
  • Excellent understanding of Membership Sales and Services, Golf Operations and Food & Beverage Operations, both ala carte and catering.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Reliable vehicle as certain responsibilities will require driving between Club facilities.
  • Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop employees and foster a team environment.
