Front of house manager oversees the interview and hiring processes for positions such as servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders. They also oversee, direct, and actively participate in the training of personnel in these positions.

Additionally, front of house managers supervise the cleanliness and upkeep of the dining room and service being provided. The FOH manager should always have an eye on the floor to help ensure great service as well as notice every small detail and ensure that we are maintaining the standards provided by the General Manager. The FOH manager is meant to support and manage the flow of the restaurant with direct & professional communication with the Head Chef & Sous Chef. The FOH Manager will be responsible for creating and managing the scheduling of all FOH staff as well as maintain labor cost % provided ben the General Manager as well as maintain appropriate liquor, beer, wine and sake costs/inventories.

Finally, the front of house manager supervises individual shifts, helping ensure that dining guests are served in a manner that not only meets but strives to exceed the standards set by the restaurant.

Salary/hourly position available depending on availability and experience

Eligible for health insurance after 90 days

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years restaurant experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Preferred experience in Japanese Cuisine
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including word and excel
  • Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time
  • Experience using POS systems preferred
  • Servsafe training completed
  • Experience in ordering and maintaining bar inventories
