OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

FULL-TIME WINTER SEASONAL

(November 2023 – March 2024)

Wage: $27.55/hour

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District’s Operations/Maintenance Department seeks an individual for a full-time, winter seasonal OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I.   This is an entry level position. Open until filled.

A successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic, willingness to cooperate with teammates, the ability to exercise initiative, and the ability to perform all work safely. During snowy weather days, early-morning snow shoveling, ice scraping, and Honda snow blower operation in adverse weather conditions shall be an integral part of this job.   This position also places an emphasis on aircraft refueling and ramp services, customer service and sales, janitorial duties, airfield maintenance, and airport security.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with no uninsurable convictions.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, bend, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms.  Work is performed in all climatic and lighting conditions inside and outside.  Work is often performed in noisy and hazardous conditions near moving equipment and aircraft.  Employees work with and near hazardous materials and fluids.  Employees may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 60 pounds or more) during the workday. The position shall be contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

The position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.  The work schedule and/or hours are subject to change, and employees must be willing to work various days with flexible hours.
