Gallery Keoki is an award winning Photography Gallery based in the Village at Squaw Valley in North Lake Tahoe.

We are looking for a Gallery Manager to provide operational management of the Gallery while ensuring all aspects of business administration, production, and logistics are fulfilled. This full- time position provides leadership to the Gallery as an operational unit and streamlines its processes for optimum effectiveness. Additionally, you will be play a supportive role as a sales associate, selling photographic art to high-end client.

We are looking for mature and enthusiastic person with retail experience to manage the daily operations of the Gallery.

Being a Tahoe based business with outdoor-focused art imagery, we are also looking for someone who has a passion of the mountains, travel, and the wonder of nature. The individual must present well, have a professional demeanor with superior communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide the gallery with operational and administrative leadership
  • To help improve and maintain operational efficiencies
  • To bring excellence to the gallery environment, in alignment with our brandidentity
  • To manage on-time production of gallery and client orders, while maintainingan accurate and relevant flow of information to the sales team
  • To provide excellent customer service
  • To maintain excellent vendor relationships
  • To support brand developmentJob Requirements
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Self-directed; well-organized; strong planning, organizational, and time-management
    skills; the ability to track and manage multiple projects, to set priorities and to follow

  • Proven ability to work and deliver on hard deadlines

  • Comfortable with talking to all socioeconomic levels; we deal with a sophisticatedclientele
  • Ability to memorize our product range, including ~200 photographs by name,formatand various production methods, price points, etc.

  • Spread sheet analysis, with strong mathematical skills
  • Positive, collaborative, and inclusive team playerEducation and Experience
  • College education
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in coordination of productionand administration, or related fields, with demonstrated success
  • Experience with developing and implementing systems
  • Retail manager experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (required)
  • Proficiency with DropBox, Google Docs and FTP sites (required)
  • Basic Photoshop skills
  • Aptitude to learn and growCompensationThe compensation is an hourly based position along with a commission upside. Base pay will be commensurate with past experience starting $18 – $20 / hr
